Când am auzit, mi-a lăsat gura apă.
I-ar mi-a făcut locomie ...

ENGLISH
This week I was talking with parents back in my village Chier. It took me a while to get a hold of them. Were very busy ... sheep and beehives (several hundred sheep and a few hundred beehives). So much much hard work! They were busy with the sheep. They sold a lot of lambs which means that they started milking the sheep and the hard process of making the feta cheese. Amazing tasting cheese! My mother said that she makes so much and she has no time to take it to the market it sell it. She sells some to people in the village, but not much.
They are making the feta cheese from sheep's milk. The type of sheep they have are Turcan sheep (they have more milk) and Serbian Sheep (this types of sheep are more for meat than for milk).
I grew up hoarding the sheep all my childhood. We were sent by my father to graze the sheep on the beautiful pastures around the village. This is how we spent our summer vacations. It was hard work. This is how it is in the country side: hard work and little reward.
Back to Feta Cheese that my parents make. When I talked to my mother, my mouth was watering. They make it with so much passion and care. My parents are very picky when it comes to hygiene and cleanliness. Cheese not only taste ... fresh original feta cheese. They sell it cheap from home with only RON 15/kg  ($4.5/kg - or $2/lb). At the local market, my mom said that it sells for RON 20/kg. They sell it cheaper because is from home and they have plenty.
My God, if I could just have a few pounds here in America.
In addition to Feta Cheese, they have honey too. All natural and organic, no preservatives in it.  They sell the honey with RON 15/kg. And if anyone wants lamb meat, my father has a some young free grazed organic lambs too.  My mom has said that this type of Serbian lambs, are very good. No taste of sheep as other species of sheep. She make my mouth water again..
The Feta Cheese my parents make, or the lamb meat goes good with fresh French (well Romanian) bread from Cipri's. He makes the best bread in the region. It is baked in a brick oven.
If you go through Arad, than stop by Chier. It is about half an hour away from Arad. Just ask for  Nutzu. For cheese, honey or lambs (all organic), call my father, Nutzu at 075-676-885 (oh, he does not speak English) This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
